Prosecution case near end
The prosecution is expected to finish its' case on Wednesday in the High Court trial of a man charged with murder. Eight Crown witnesses are still to be called. Wayne Pohutuhutu,
aged 22, unemployed, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Michael James Dowling, aged 28, who was kicked, stomped and battered to death on March 6. Mr Justice Williamson is presiding. Messrs Brent
StanaWay and Mark Zarifeh appear for the Crown, jV and Mrs Judith AblettKerr and Mr Diccon Sim, both of Dunedin, for Pohutuhutu. >;
The trial began on September 14 and is expected to end on Friday.
