Former Minister charged
NZPA-AAP Sydney A former Federal Immigration Minister, Al Grassby, was charged in a Sydney court yesterday morning with conspiring to pervert the course of justice and criminal libel. The Central Local Court was told that Grassby had been arrested by the National Crime Authority yesterday morning. He was charged with conspiring to pervert the course of justice between November, 1979, and May, 1981, with Robert Trimbole, Jennifer Sergi and others. jj The criminal libel charge involved a fourpage document alleged to have been circulated by Grassby. , The document referred to Barbara Mackay, wife of the murdered Griffith drugs crusader, Donald Mackay and lan Salmon.
