Indonesian housemaids maltreated
NZPA-Reuter Jakarta Indonesia has introduced stricter licensing and monitoring procedures to protect its workers overseas, after allegations that some housemaids in Saudi Arabia were maltreated or sexually abused, a senior official said. There are 150,000 Indonesians working in Saudi Arabia, most of them employed as maids and drivers.
