Prison posts announced
PA Wellington Five prison superintendent ' appointments, prompted by retirements later this year, have been announced by the Secretary for Justice, Mr David Oughton. The appointments are: At Auckland Maximum' Security Prison, the Rangipo Prison head, Mr Max Hindmarsh' succeeds Mr Les Hines; at Auckland Medium Security Prison, Mr John Smith is succeeded by Waikeria Prison’s deputy superin-
tendent, Mr Bob Patchett, Mr Russell Woods, ,the Mount Eden Prison deputy superintendent, succeeds Mr Danny McDonald as superintendent at Wanganui Prison; the Dunedin Regional Prison superintendent, Mr Stuart Jones, will move up to chief executive: officer of penal institutions (operations) on secondment, and Auckland Maximum Security Prison’s first officer, Mr Greg Prince, takes Mr Jones’s job.
