The Purau Mooring Association . annual general meeting was held last week, and Mr Peter Rea, of Seabridge ship agents, was elected chairman.
About 40 members were at the meeting. Mr Rea said the association hoped that more of the people who owned moorings at Purau would join their group. The cost was only $25 per year. The larger the group the better affairs could be managed. The association provided a regular inspection service for mooring owners, and was also hoping to improve dialogue with the Lyttelton Harbour Board and improve facilities for launching dinghies, he said.
