Three bales of 19.2 micron Merino from J. W. and T. J. Wadworth (Blenheim) topped yesterday’s wool sale in Christchurch with a price of 1403 c (70.5 per cent dry yield) followed by 1318 c (72.5) for seven bales of 19.4 micron from N. E. Giles (Blenheim). The Wadworths had two other sales at 135 c (71.4) for 12 bales of 19.7 micron and 1070 c (73.8) for 10 bales of 20.6 micron. Two Culverden fanners, M. J. and M. A. Fifteen bales of crossbred woolly hogget from Surrey Hills station (Ashburton) made 540 c (81.9), 12 bales of crossbred from G. Pagey (Methven) made 539 c (88.7), J. R. Stanbury (Little River) received 535 c (75.4) for 15 bales of crossbred two-tooth, and J. G. Cran (Hororata), sold five bales of crossbred woolly hogget at 530 c (80). Among Perendale wools were two lines from J. R.

Wilson Partnership (Hanmer Springs) at 530 c (87.2) for four bales and 527 c (86.7) for 11 bales, and two lines from R. T. and B. M. Bryant (Darfield) at 495 c (81.1) for eight bales of two-tobth and the same price for 12 bales of Perendale (79.1). Coopworth sold to 536 c (88.8) for 12 bales from P. Christey (Oxford) and 524 c (86.2) for 10 bales from M. G. and M. J. Barker (Kalkoura). Estate G. Van Asch (Cashmere) received 519 c (85.2) for 11 bales of Coopworth, L. C.
