T-bill tender called off
PA Wellington There will be no weekly Treasury bill tender today, the Reserve Bank said yesterday. Forecasts indicated a net cash withdrawal from the system over the period August 5 to 11. Cash flows to Government, including GST collections and maturing sellbacks, are expected to more than offset cash injections arising from maturine Treasury bills and genejyl Government expendinire.
The bank expects to be conducting open market operations as usual after which the cash balance should fluctuate round the $3O million target.
