PROPOSED CHANGE 15 THE Christchurch City Council has prepared Change No. 15 to Its District Planning Scheme. The nature of the Change is as follows CHANGE NO. 15 A. Proposed Business zone — Moorhouse Avenue, Madras Street, Selwyn Street, Central City Commercial Zones Replace Industrial 1 and 3 zones with new Business zone. The Business zone encourages a wide range of commercial, industrial, entertainment and residential uses. The zone is in- . tended to provide for new opportunities in these uses, but at a lesser intensity than is provided for in the Central Commercial zones. In addition, the zone Is Intended to Improve the appearance and amenity of the area and to safeguard access to important roads. B. Tuam, Lichfield, Manchester, Colombo Street Block Rezone part from Industrial 3 to Commercial 4. The Change may be inspected at the Town Planning Office of the Council, Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street and Canterbury Public library, at any time when It Is open to the public. Submissions and objections to the Change or any part thereof may be made by any body or person affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public interest Submissions and objections shall be in writing oh Form C prescribed In the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978 or to the like effect. Forms for submissions and objections are available at the Council’s Town Planning Office. Submissions or objections should be lodged at the Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, Christchurch, not later than 4.00 p.m. on September 4,1987. At a later date, every submission and objection will be open for public inspection and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection will be entitled to do so. APPROVED CHANGE NO. 1 Change Number 1 to the City Plan was approved by resolution of the Christchurch City Council on July 20, 1987. The Change clarifies the Plot Ratio Bonus and performance provisions for tower blocks in Commercial 4 and Commercial 5 zones. The Council resolved that the Change will become Operative on July 28, 1987.
