New label
A new label is to be launched on the New Zealand video market this month. It is Mirage Home Video, a joint venture between local film makers, Mirage Film Distributors and Kenidge Odeon Amalgamated Video Services.
The label will concentrate primarily on New Zealand productions so as to maximise their potential, said the manager of K.0.A.V.5., Mr Mark Crofts. Each release will feature only one title. The agreement gives K.O.A.V.S. exclusive distribution rights tb all Mir-age-produced and acquired titles for video in New Zealand, and a locally-made film “Bridge to Nowhere” has been chosen to launch the new label.
Starring Bruno Lawrence, the movie is about a group of five teenagers who head off to the country for a week-end of fun. They intrude on the very private life of Mac, a recluse, and his captive.
