Military solution rejected
NZPA-Reuter Colombo President Junius Jayewardene has rejected a military solution to the island’s bloody ethnic crisis and said he would resolve the problem through democratic
means. Addressing a rally marking the tenth anniversary of his Government, President Jayewardene said he was ready to face a General Election to resolve the conflict.
