Kerykeion in top order
Special correspondent Palmerston North Kerykeion looked in top order for tomorrow’s Terrace Regency 10,000 at the Rangitikei Hunt Club’s meeting at Wanganui when he galloped at Woodville yesterday morning. Fast work took place against the rails on the course proper, which was soft Kerykeion and Lunar Trail were paired over 1400 m in 1:34.2, the last 1200 m in 1:21.5 and 600 m in 41s. placing, and Maurice Campbell stays with him at Wanganui, where he has already won three of his four races. Lunar Trail was to have contested the Taumarunui Cup, but did not make the field. John Harris intends racing him instead at Paeroa next Wednesday. The promising Three Vibes and Grodan showed plenty of dash when running 800 m in 50.8. Chimo, a good track worker, strode over 1200 m in 1:17. Tui Fras required 1:39.5 for 1400 m the 1200 m in 1:24.1 the , last 600 m in
Caprea finished ahead of Legs Ahead over 1000 m in 1:7.1, the final 600 m in 39.25. Caprea resumes in the Burgess Graduation at Wanganui and should go well. Valoros ran 800 m in 54.75, picking up a So Vain filly at the 600 m. Forward Thinking went 1000 m in 1:10.6, the last 600 m comfortably in 39.65. She is in the Aitchison Handicap at Wanganui. Radiant Dawn showed plenty of dash over 600 m in 37.5, and lines, up in the Cranbrook Juv&iile.
