Jaguar May sales world wide reached an all-time high of 4402 — more than 20 per cent up on those of May 1986. The previous best was December 1985 when 4188 Jaguars were sold. The North American launch of Jaguar’s latest saloon range helped boost sales. In the United States of America, 2304 Jaguars
were sold during May while 312 were sold in Canada. Total world sales for Jaguar in the first five months of this year amounted to 17,918 compared with 16,443 for the same period last year. . Demand for the XJS coupe and cabriolet is stronger than ever and Sir John Egan, chairman and
