High in the tops of very tall trees lives a tribe of animated monkey-like creatures known as the Monchichis. 3.55: AFTER SCHOOL. 4.90: BENJI, ZAX AND THE ALIEN PRINCE. Benji befriends a young alien prince sent to Earth with his robot bodyguard Zax to grow and reclaim his throne from evil forces. 4.30: SUPERGRAN. A series tracing a creaking old Scots Lady’s transformation from geriatric infirmity into Supergran. 5.00: HENDERSON KIDS. Two city teenagers find their world plunged into chaos following the tragic death of their mother. 6.00: SONS AND DAUGHTERS.
6.30’ NEWS. 7.30: CORONATION STREET. The Rover’s staff worries about the future, while Terry Duckworth awaits a visit from Linda’s husband, Pete. 8.00: THE DISTRICT NURSE. A new 12-part series about the life and work of a district nurse in South Wales in the mid-twenties. (1). Dyan Roderick, the young schoolteacher in Pencwm, sends for the district nurse when he suspects some kind of epidemic among his pupils. Megan visits a shanty settlement on the outskirts of town where she has her first encounter with Nesta Mogg, the “witch woman.” Starring Nerys Hughes, John Ogwen, lan Saynor.

8.30: A WOMAN’S WORLD. A six-part series. (1). This introductory programme highlights the similarities and differences between women in very different countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. It looks at the way their lives are changing and the hopes women have for the future. 9.00: FOURTH ESTATE.
9.15: MONOCLED MUTINEER. A four-part drama by Alan Bleasdale which tells the extraordinary story of the life and violent death of Percy Toplis, petty criminal and racketeer, who served as a soldier during the First World War, and was at the centre of a major mutiny of British troops behind the line at Etaples in 1917. Starring Paul McGann, Penelope Wilton, Timothy West. 10.40: THE FRIDAY MOVIE. “Right to Kill.” Based on the true story of Richard Jahnke. Moving to the prairie land of Wyoming, Deborah and Richard desperately hope their new home will symbolise a new life. Once there, however, Jahnke’s harsh rules prevent them and Maria from making friends and meeting neighbours. Starring Frederick Forrest, Chris Collet, Karinin Murcelo. ' 12.30: CLOSEDOWN.
8.30: NIGHT COURT. A comedy with a criminal court judge who got the job because he was the only person on the list of possibilities who was home at the time. When Harry is invited to Billie’s apartment for a birthday drink, what could have been a romantic evening turns into a frightening experience as the two are accosted by a guntoting burglar who can't do anything right. Starring Harry Anderson, Ellen Foley, John Larroquette. 9.00: OPEN ALL HOURS. (R). 9.30: BROTHERS. A comedy series Involving three brothers. Clifford Waters’ older brothers, Joe and Lou, suffer blue-collar culture shock when he reveals he is gay — on the eve of his wedding. Starring Robert Walden, Paul Regina, Brandon Maggart. 10.00: EYE WITNESS.
