Reefer sails
The Nippon Reefer sailed from Timaru for Bandar Abbas late yesterday with 3200 tonnes of frozen meat and eight new Filipino crewmen. The ship’s master, Captain Charlie Jakobsen,
said the week-long dispute over sailing to Iran and back-pay grievances came to a halt when the Philippines embassy ordered the eight seamen at the centre of the row to go home.
