Professor of literature
PA Wellington The writer, Vincent O’Sullivan, has been appointed professor of English literature at Victoria University of Wellington. Mr O’Sullivan has previously lectured at Victoria and also at the University of Waikato. He has also held writing fellowships in Australia and New Zealand and was writer in residence at Victoria in 1981 and playwright in residence at Downstage Theatre.
Although best known as a poet, playwright, and short-story writer, Mr O’Sullivan is also a scholar and critic.
He is at present working on a five-volume edition of “The Collected Letters of Katherine Maifcfield.”
