Toyota New Zealand’s latest dealership
Ilam Toyota is the latest and seventy-seventh dealership to be appointed by Toyota New Zealand, Ltd, to its national dealership network. The Riccarton dealership is an independently owned and operated outlet for Toyota sales and services, the dealer principal being Mr Bruce Miles. Toyota New Zealand, Ltd, has developed wellbalanced marketing representation throughout the country, according to its dealer operations manager, Mr Alan Simpson. His company has recog-
nised the growth potential of west Christchurch and the prospects are very exciting. “Toyota already has a strong presence in the South Island, particularly in Christchurch, and we see Ilam Toyota building further on that strength, enabling the franchise to satisfy customer demand and to gain significant additional sales and service business,” said Mr Simpson. “Mr Bruce Miles is one of a number of leading New Zealand motor industry participants who have linked with Toyota,” he added. Within the last year,
other significant moves have included the appointment of Mr Allan Clarke, of Albany, formerly the largest independently owned Mitsubishi outlet, as a Toyota dealer, as well as the further consolidation of Toyota representation in the Auckland area through the change of Team McMillan Ford to the Toyota franchise. "This strengthening of the dealer network will enhance the Toyota reputation for total customer satisfaction. We are pleased, therefore, to have such capable representation in the growing west Christchurch area,” Mr Simpson said.
