Leadenhall appointment
Dr R. S. Deane has been appointed a director of Leadenhall Fund Managers, Ltd, and a trustee of the Leadenhall Charitable Trust.
Dr Deane is chief executive of Electricorp N.Z., Ltd. Previously he was chairman of the State Services Commission and Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of N.Z. Be-
fore that he held various senior administrative positions, including that of alternate executive director of the International
Monetary Fund in Washington D.C. He holds the qualifications PhD, BCom (Hons), ACA, ACIS and was admitted in 1987 as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries. He is also a director of the Institute of Policy Studies and vice president of the NZ Society for the Intellectually Handicapped. The managing director of Leadenhall, Mr P. W. O'Neil, said the appointment of Dr Deane would further strengthen and
broaden the expertise of Leadenhail’s board. The company was now managing funds totalling about $1 billion and Dr Deane’s experience in economics, banking, finance and administration would be invaluable as the company’s growth continued, said Mr O’Neil. Leadenhall is the leader by a mile in the competition, the Great Investment Race, organised by Listed Securities, Ltd.
