KEVIN GARNETT.

July 16, 1987. Sir,—Exciting proposals have been placed before the Mona Vale joint management committee concerning development of this outstanding pubjic asset. The Horticultural Society, supported by a multiplicity of garden clubs, has a wealth of experience to offer, and is an organisation in which citizens can have absolute confidence. Provided the proposed horticultural hall is built on the present tractor shed site at Mona Vale, there can be little, if any, opposition. The Horticultural Society has done so much to beautify our city, it would be unthinkable that it would recommend anything out of character that would detract from the beauty of Mona Vale. While acknowledging the past good work of the Civic Trust, Heaven forbid that its suggestions of a sound shell, a licensed restaurant or a boat shed should ever be taken seriously. — Yours, etc., SUSIE WALKER.
