Cyclists snatch handbag
Two cyclists snatched a handbag from a woman as she pedalled home along St Johns Street, Wooiston, yesterday. Senior-Sergeant : Dick Pettit, of the Christchurch police, said the youths, aged 15 or 16, rode up on either side of the woman, aged 65. “One of them grabbed her handbag which was on the handlebars.” The handbag contained a purse with a small amount of money. The youths were European and wore blue jeans. One was wearing a blue and black jacket, the other a red and black jacket.
