Fat fire
A deep fat-fryer was the source of a fire in the kitchen of Noahs Hotel yesterday morning. The fire, which began soon after 9 a.m., caused only minor damage. A hotel spokesman said it had been caused by over-heating and hotel staff were able to contain it within the deep-fry unit with fire extinguishers until the Fire Service arrived.
