Lakeland profit
Southland developer, Lakeland Properties, Ltd, has posted a profit of $1,031,000 ($441,000) for the year ended March 31. A final dividend of 2c a share has been declared. Turnover was $1,012,000 ($423,000) and Profit before tax was 278,000 ($310,000). After tax of $20,000 ($101,000) profit was $258,000 ($209,000). Extraordinaries included $43,000 in writtenoff expenses, $1,211,000 in unrealised property valuations and $395,000 in unrealised foreign exchange losses.
