Indecent assault in Papanui
A girl, aged 15, was assaulted and forced to commit an indecent act on her assailant after she left Papanui High School and was walking along Langdons Road about 8.30 p.m. yesterday. The girl was grabbed from behind and forced into bushes, where she was made to commit an indecency. The offender asked her to commit further indecencies, but when she refused he ran off.
The man is described as 170 cm (sft 7in) to 180 cm (sft Ilin) tall, thought to be European, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, with a moustache. He was wearing a dark jacket, possibly made of leather.
The Papanui C. 1.8. would like to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area about 8.30 p.m.
