Paleface Bubble wins in Sydney

By

JEFF SCOTT

The Lion Brown InterDominion pacing runnerup, Paleface Bubble, and the brilliant Australian juvenile, Rowleyalla, resumed with wins at Harold Park in Sydney on Friday evening. The Michael Ilsleytrained Paleface Bubble, having his first start since finishing second to My Lightning Blue in the Pacers Grand Final in March, was successful in the Invitation Free-For-All over 1960 m.

Rowleyalla, which was having his first start since his 1:55 mile time-trial at Harold Park on May 22, was installed a raging favourite for the New South Wales Breeders’ Stakes.

Starting from barrier five in a six-horse field, the son of Bye Bye Byrd entire, National Byrd, was a 10-1 on favourite and was untroubled to win in 2:1.4 for the mile.
