‘Star Trek’ saviour visiting Christchurch

The woman behind the return of “Star Trek” to television screens throughout the world is visiting Christchurch this week-end. Mrs Bjo Trimble is travelling from her home' in California to attend a science fiction convention in Australia and has made a Week-end stopover in Christchurch to meet local science fiction fans. Mrs Trimble, who is
accompanied by her daughter, Kathryn, and a friend, Jodi Woodard, is the guest of honour at a convention in Christchurch today. Mrs Trimble has been active in “Star Trek” fandom inAmerica for many years and when the show was axed at the end of its second season, she prompted a letter-writing campaign that forced the production company to reconsider and to make a third series.
