, , Mrs Adrienne Mackwell, the Diamond Harbour .woman waiting for a heart transplant at St Vincent’s Hospital in .Sydney, may be closer to having surgery. < The publicity officer for the Adrienne Mackwell Trust, Mr Lawson Little, said yesterday that two men on the waiting list ahead of Mrs Mackwell had had transplants this week.
“There were four or five ahead of Adrienne at the beginning of last week so she must have moved up the list now.” Mr Little said yesterday that the appeal for Mrs Mackwell’s transplant, had raised about $133,000 and money was still coming in. A radio announcer for Canterbury FM, James Daniels, sent a cheque for $550 ,from a fund started during the six months he was legally prevented from broadcasting. . The family of a man, aged 22, whose funeral was held yesterday, asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the appeal.
