Friendly city link made
PA Wellington A “friendly city” link bas been officially 'established between Wellington and the Chinese city of Xiamen.
The friendly city charter, similar to a sister city link, was signed at a mayoral reception attested by a five-member
delegation from Xiamen led by the mayor, Mr Zow Erjun. The . Mayor of Wellington, Mr Jim Belich, was presented with a handpainted scroll by the delegation. He gave Xiamen's mayor a woollen wall hanging by a Wellington Judy Patience.
