World Cup
Sir,—Hearty congratulations to the All Blacks on their .outstanding performance in winning the World Cup for New Zealand, but how unfortunate the win came just after the Budget. What an opportunity for Mr Douglas had the final been played the previous week; he could have lowered his fictious deficit even further by selling shares in New Zealand’s most recently acquired asset. — Yours, etc., FRED BULL. Sheffield, June 23, 1987.
