Very smart filly which set a scorching pace and was only just nabbed by Go for Broke at her last start. She was beaten a nose in 2:0.6 for a mile. With scratchings she will start from No. 5 and should be hard to bowl. MANAWATU MIGHTY RIVER (Race 5) b g, 7 yrs, Riverton-Miretta; trained at Foxton by B. Lumsden. Won at Foxton in a weak field by no less than 75metres and has raced only once since for a fifth on the flat Hard to see him beaten in this. Nelson PRIMULA (Race 2) b m, 4 yrs, by Game Pride-Pi-cotee; trained at Ellesmere by J. Versteeg. Grand finish to beat all but the speedy Stanboy at Rangiora last Saturday. Will have to improve very little on that effort to be the winner. Waikato I’M HOLLIE (Race 6) b f, 3 yrs. War Hawk-Beatnik; trained at Matamata by J.Gibbs and R. James. Rarely runs a poor race and -, latest form sound. Looks the best of a weak field.
