Kindergarten problem

• Sir,—We recently , moved to Christchurch from the country v and have found aif continuing problem facing a local kindergarten. The problem is ,two-, legged animals defecating In our most-needed sandpit The sandpit at the moment is out of -bounds;; To replace the sand will cost $lOO, plus cartage 'to remove soiled sand and refllLit We hope that some help frbmthe outside community will come forth. This is so : intolerable. Young children have few pleasures, being restrained behind gates in small sections, and to play In a large area expertly supervised are the best moments in their day. Also, the destruction evejy week-end is -affecting the committee as a $2OO excess is to be paid. — Yours, etc., ; J.R. TWOSE. On behalf of the. • p •r" "Portsmouth Kindergarten?' Committee. \ < June 8, 1987. ’■ k •
