Smithfield not to close
Waitaki International, Ltd, had no intention whatsoever of closing the freezing works at Timaru, said the company’s executive director of processing, Mr Joe Ryan. He said the Smithfield plant owned by Waitaki employed about 700 people. If there were plans to close, the employees of the company would be told first
