Volleyball tournament
The annual Queen’s Birthday volleyball tournament to be held at Pioneer Stadium has attracted the strongest clubs in the South Island and the central North Island. The tournament, which starts today, has served as a useful guide for the national championships in the past. In the men’s section the favoured teams are Pioneer, Porirua, Shirley A, Scorpions and Flint Vikings; while the women’s section should be fought out between Porirua, Pioneer, Aranui Smash and Vikings.
