St Bede’s tested
St Bede’s College beat Burnside High School, 199, in a schools first XV rugby championship match at Burnside High on Saturday. The 10-point winning margin, however, was not a fair reflection on the relative merits of the teams.
For a period in the second half Burnside High School looked capable of scoring its first victory over St Bede’s, but the College players rallied and added a converted try and penalty goal in a late burst.
