Fire toll A week-old forest fire which has killed at least 172 people in north-east China and caused losses of at least one billion yuan ($472.5 million) might continue for another three to five days. were killed and 20 injured when a bus fell into a ditch near a small town bordering Pakistan in India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. —New Delhi. Onassis Prize Amnesty International, the London-based human rights organisation, and the Archbishop of San Salvador, Arturo Rivera y Damas, will share the SUSIOO,OOO Onassis Prize for 1987 “for man and society,” the Onassis Foundation announced. The foundation was created by the late Greek shipowner millionaire, Aristotle Onassis. —Athens.
