Timmy Boy fastest qualifier
Timmy Boy, a three-year-old by Honkin Andy from Late Again in Murray Butt’s Templeton team, was the fastest of five pacing qualifiers at the Addington trials yesterday.
A half-brother to the Amberley Cup winner, Muscadine, Timmy Boy finished best in the straight to win by half a head in 3:26.2 for the mobile 2600 m. Bobbie Cutherbertson, a four-year-old son of Lordship and Donella Beaton in Kevin Deuart’s Weedons team, won the 2600 m (stand) qualifying pace in 3:32, while qualifiers over 2400 m (stand) were all two-year-olds. They include Nelroy (El Patron—Nelson Lass) in 3:17.7; Tinasari (Pales-tine-Tina Star filly) in 3:17.6; and Wood Chip (Transport Chip—Gaelic Girl) in 3:16.3.
