Study pays off
NZPA-AFP Hong Kong A woman’s persistent study of local racehorses has won her 5NZ311,170 from a 5NZ36.30 bet, the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club said yesterday. The spokesman for the local racing authority said the unidentified punter won a “six-up bonus” after correctly picking the champion horse for each of six races on Sunday. “I didn’t work on hunches or count on luck, I won because I picked the right horses based of my study of them,” a local newspaper, the Orierftal Daily News, quoted the winner as saying.
