England supremely confident
NZPA staff correspondent London England yesterday named a team supremely confident of retaining the title at the world women’s team squash championships in Auckland in Octo-
ber. The team of Lisa Opie, Martine le Moignan, Lucy Soutter, Suzanne Burgess and Alison Cumings is ranked 1-5 respectively in England and minus Yorkshire’s Burgess won the event in Dublin two years ago.
The Women’s Squash Rackets Association in London said yesterday that the side had “every intention of retaining their title and look set to do so, with the only real source of competition coming from Australia.”
