Sherlock in reserves
Kurt Sherlock, a former All Black, is again playing reserve grade after only two appearances for the Eastern Surburbs rugby league first XIII in Sydney. In the company with the veteran Kiwi utility, Gary Prohm, Sherlock missed the 54-0 National Panasonic Cup defeat of New South Wales Country
and the 16-14 upset of the highly fancied Canter-bury-Bankstown in last Sunday’s premiership round. The two New Zealanders will find it hard to regain first grade status now that Easts expect the versatile Wigan and British back, Joe Lydon, to bolster an already impressive new-look line-up.
