Opportunity to buy for Mother’s Day
For those looking for the ideal gift for Mother’s Day, the Canterbury Antique and Collectors Fair, to be held tomorrow and Saturday, could offer an excellent opportunity. The fair will be held in the Canterbury Horticultural Hall tomorrow between noon and 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Included in the range on display will be Victorian and Edwardian furniture, silver, jewellery, ceramics, linen, china lamps, quality glass and collectors’ items. One of the exciting features will be the large selection of Japanese antiques including beautifully crafted Japanese furniture, ceramics, paintings and rare items.
The fair is a gathering of antique dealers from all over the South Island. It gives the public a rare opportunity to see a marvellous array of antiques all together. This fair is held to sell goods and the dealers genuinely enjoy discussing and valuing articles as well as advising the public about investment. Cartage for furniture and large purchases is available. The organisers have gone to great lengths to supply food and refreshments, thereby allowing you to turn a visit to the show into a day-long outing where you can savour the atmosphere and take time over your decisionmaking.
