Mike Brewer out
PA Wellington The South Zone rugby captain, Mike Brewer, has withdrawn from the team for tomorrow’s match with the Central Zone in New Plymouth after suffering a groin injury in Wednesday’s first zone match at Ashburton. His replacement at No. 8 is Andy Earl of Canterbury, and Earl’s spot on the flank goes to Paul Henderson, of Otago.
Bruce Deans becomes South’s captain. There are two changes in the Central Zone side. The All Black lock, Murray Pierce, has withdrawn with an ankle injury and the prop, Gary Knight, is out for business reasons. Richard Jerram, of Manawatu, . will replace Pierce and Brian McGrattan, of Waikato, replaces Knight. Scott Crichton replaces McGrattan in the reserves. ' t :
