Top chance for Tobago in Winfield Cup

Special correspondent Dunedin Tobago looks the best prospect in a mediocre field for the $15,000 Winfield Cup at Forbury Park tomorrow evening. Tobago was a winner at Addington a fortnight ago and he was running on for sixth in the New Zealand Trotting Championship there last Saturday. Troppo, a winner at Methven last month then fourth at Addington is capable of a bold bid. Beau’s Delight has been racing soundly and should be prominent. She ran second to Masterland on the course last week after starting from 40 metres. Nortonair is capable of holding his own. Proud Princess is in line to extend her winning sequence to four in the Captain Morgan Pace, second leg of the T.A.B. double. She has drawn the second line, but she overcame that disadvantage to win over tomorrow night’s distance, 2200 metres on the course last week. Dreamy Guy has had the chance to freshen. He is a previous winner on the course.
