Mr Bailey met his wife-to-be at Sunday School in St Mary’s, and the two have spent their entire married life in Springston. He has been a church warden for the last 34 years. St Mary’s Church is due for demolition later this month. Mr and Mrs Bailey celebrated their golden anniversary with a service in the church and luncheon with the original wedding party at their home. The couple have one daughter and one grandson.
