Man dies in ambulance
A man died late yesterday afternoon after a head-on smash north of Kaikoura. He was found to be dead on arrival after being taken to Kaikoura Hospital. His name was not available late last evening. His .vehicle dropped down a 2m bank after the impact. Two occupants of the, other vehicle were not hurt. The accident occurred about 4.30 p.m. at Blue Duck, about 20km north of Kaikoura.
