Delivery by Easter Bunny
Move over singing telegrams — dial-an-Easter-Bunny has arrived in Christchurch. For $26.50 (excluding GST), the Easter Bunny Service will have a bunny deliver a 200 g egg and song to the person of your choice. The service is the brainchild of a Christchurch man, Mr Chris McCammon. While acknowledging the venture’s commercial side, he says the idea sprang from a desire to “put a bit more fun” into the season.
“I’ve had a lot of people say to me, ‘l’m going to buy some Easter eggs but how do I explain the Easter bunny to the children?’ ”
Finding a suitable person to be the Easter Bunny was not easy. Mr McCammon found his at the opening of the Edmonds rotunda restaurant, where Kerry McCammon, a member of the Natural Magic street theatre group and distant relative, was in action.
