Prime time to start
Ability Services, Ltd, was set up in October 1985 by Mr Dennis Bailey, and operated from a small office in Papanui. “Looking back, it was a prime time to start this organisation as it was close to the start of the building boom, and the number of staff has grown, from three to 37 in 17 months,” says Mr Bailey. “Ability Services, Ltd, derive much of their success from a loyal group of workers who use the latest in equipment and technology, and are assisted by a supervisor and
contracts manager to iron out any problems,” he says. The contracts manager, Mr Les Mason, says that “at the helm, Mr Dennis Bailey keeps everything on an even keel, and keeps the whole organisation running smoothly, which is a credit to him and all the staff at Ability Services.” Ability Services specialise in suspended ceilings, gib-board fixing and stopping, formica, luxalon and hard glaze. Its office is at 212 Main South Road.
