Bigger and brighter travel pages
By LES BLOXHAM A number of regular new features will be introduced to the “Tuesday Travel” pages next month. “Practical Traveller,** to appear on the first Tuesday of each month, will offer ideas and hints for those planning overseas holidays. The column will include advice on insurance, foreign exchange, air fares, and visas as well as providing tips on what to do when things go wrong,
such as lost baggage or stolen funds. Readers are also invited to contribute queries to another new column called "Travel Spy.” Ever wondered why the cabin lights are dimmed in an aircraft during take-off and landing? Or why cabin attendants sit with their backs to the front? Or why airline tickets bought on the cheap overseas cannot be used in New Zealand? Or how a travel agent
