Competitionmarks W.D.F.F. jubilee
The worth of New Zealand rural women is the topic of a national essay writing competition marking the sixtieth anniversary of the Woman’s Division of Federated Farmers’ branch at Wakapuaka, near Nelson. Only members of the South Island W.D.F.F. are eligible to enter the competition, which is sponsored by National Mutual. The Wakapuaka branch will celebrate its diamond jubilee in Nelson in July. The topic was chosen by National Mutual’s South Island representa-
tive, Mr Roger Handlsides, ' i Winners will receive $4OO and travelling expenses up to $2OO to attend the jubilee luncheon on July 15. Second prize is $2OO. - Essays must not exceed 1500 words, and must be typed on one side of the paper only. Writers should send their entries to W.D.F.F. Essay Competition, National Mutual, P. O. Box 70, Nelson, by April 24.
