Shopping mall backs United
Christchurch United will be sponsored by the Linwood City shopping mall in this year’s national soccer league. The sponsorship contract was signed yesterday, just eight days before the league kicks off. The deal also covers
United’s second team, which plays in the Hertz travelling league. The United chairman, Mr Malcolm Hinman, said the “substantial” sponsorship had enabled United to stay in both leagues despite rapidly, rising costs. I'
