Beef grades up 5c
Beef prices to South Island producers have risen 5c on all grades in next week’s meat export schedule. A spokesman for Waitaki International said the rise was caused by the limited availability of stock. A strong demand for pelts and rising prices have resulted in payments to farmers for lambskins and sheepskins increasing 50c each. Prices of all grades of lamb and mutton are unchanged.
