Box 835 Invercargill BROADCASTING CAREERS PRE-ENTRY COURSE IN RADIO BROADCASTING This is a well established 12 week full-time block course supported by Radio New Zealand and the Independent Broadcasters Association. It is designed for people with little or no radio experience who wish to make a career in radio broadcasting and prepare them for appointment to trainee positions in the industry. All aspects of radio craft are covered and the course includes on-air experience on the Christchurch Polytechnic FM radio station. Applications are now invited for the course commencing June 2. Entries close on April 10. BROADCASTING JOURNALISM This is a 20 week full-time course offered at two levels. The first level is for people already trained in some aspect of broadcasting who wish to transfer to broadcasting journalism. The second level is aimed at people with no previous experience in either journalism or broadcasting who wish to take up a career in broadcasting journalism. A print journalism module will also be offered for those students who determine that the print medium is their preference.
