Our company is a fully autonomous unit operating throughout New Zealand in importing, marketing and servicing capital equipment to printing, packaging and paper-making industries. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of a listed public company in Australia, with the world's largest printing press manufacturer as the major shareholder. The financial controller/accountant would be responsible to the general manager for all financial and accounting matters. These responsibilities would include — ir Preparation of monthly management and board reports. Preparation of twice-yearly audited financial statements and taxation matters related thereto. if Management of foreign exchange transactions and exposure. Management of short-to-medium-term company funding. * Supervision of accounts and data processinq staff. if Co-ordination of company budgets. All systems are fully computerised on IBM System 36. Further enhancement and development is planned in this area. The position is fully supported by a competent administration team. The successful candidate will possess initiative and good communication skills. A number of years practical experience in a similar role would be an essential pre-requisite for any successful applicant.
